Pt.2 Tutorial Feedback
Recently had a tutorial and discussed various things concerning the Redshift project. One of the main points that came up is the animosity in the dialogue between the AI and the man. This is something that can be expanded upon to greatly enhance the piece and we worked towards the idea of incorporating this into the AI’s voice. Originally I always pictured it as a digitally adjusted female voice simply because it evolved from the girl in the first part. However in moving towards it’s new ominous, god like existence, it might be interesting to play around with this a bit. By mixing various voices and having it somewhere in between gender or changing gender depending on the tone of dialog, I could emphasize the transition this new life form is undertaking.
I also think that more needs to be made of the dislike the man feels to the AI. I dont want to force it, it should be a tired anger as we need to realise he has no power now to change anything. It’s over, humans are dead. The AI has an almost playful tone in places and like a child it’s oblivious to the worries of an adult human world. In the process of getting itself to the next level of existence it’s destroyed everything, and doesn’t really care. It’s quite a bit to get across in a few lines of dialogue but I think with the right words, emotions and tone I can imply much of this.
